Our kids were in heaven, especially with the fire pit in the garden where we made s’mores every night.The location is perfect – so close to everything! We explored the Shell Grotto, the caves, and of course had an amazing time at Dreamland. The hosts were fantastic – so friendly, quick to reply, and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Their recommendations were spot on – the Old Market Place was our favourite spot for food.It was such a perfect family break with so much to do right on the doorstep. We would 100% recommend Dream Land Cottage and can’t wait to come back!

The cottage was the most perfect base for us, 2 x mum friends,... read more 2 x 19 month old babies and a 10 year old. The cottage is deceiving large, all the bedrooms are great sizes. The decor is so beautiful, it has given me great inspiration. The place was spotless on arrival and the kitchen had every utensil you could ever need on your break away!
The house was super easy to find, particularly with the host’s directions. The cottage is gated which made us feel really safe and secure, particularly as I was there alone with my baby the first couple of nights. I felt really safe knowing it was just us and the neighbours who could get past the gates. That was a massive plus for us.
Lucy the host was absolutely amazing! So warm and personable. Lucy gave us some great tips of where to visit which was super handy for us having never been to Margate.

The kitchen had everything you needed and... read more the living room area was perfect for watching the footy, hosting games night, movie night and enjoying a cheeky takeaway from the local Chinese takeaway that Lucy recommended. The garden was soooo spacious, we held a BBQ and also used the fire place for some evening drinks, it was giving love island fire pit vibes. Honestly one of the best stays I’ve had, so close to the beach and the train station and best of all dreamland where we enjoyed arcade games and rides! The neighbours were also so friendly and approachable and helped us with getting wood for the fireplace- thanks! I would without a doubt definitely stay here again and would recommend families, groups or friends everyone to choose this lovely cottage. Lucy is a brilliant host. She gave us lots of information, especially about parking in the town, which for a couple of us who have mobility problems, was vital. We packed so much in during our short stay.
Lucy recommended Alfie's Fish and Chips - walkable and awesome, plus other restaurants we will try when we come again.
The cottage is quirky and charming, spotless and well equipped. Everything worked! It would be an ideal place for families, friends, young and old (us).

5/31/2024 - I bought my daughter and her friends for a long weekend away for her 16th Birthday celebrations Lucy was an amazing host I sent some decorations and she was able... read more to put them up before we arrived which was amazing surprise for my daughter.... Lucy and John recommended some great restaurants to take them to... highly recommend this place to stay hosts are fantastic,house is immaculate and wonderfully decorated throughout. Location is great only a short walk to the beach and seafront....my daughter had the most amazing 16th birthday celebrations with her friends.
